Salesmanship/Salespersonship…

“Great salesmanship always beats great marketing hands down!” – John Carlton (I think)

Hey guys,

Sorry Adil hasn’t wrote on the blog in ages, he’s been super busy as of late.

Okay so something I had to learn about the hard way was salesman/person-ship and Adil did as well this as well.

Though this isn’t a hard thing to do, many people can’t do it. Because it is like the fun but annoying part of sales.

So very quickly I will go into what salesmanship is…

It is all about understanding how to keep a prospect. Not doing the naggy pushy salesman crap! It truly is all about giving your prospects some kick ass info, being good to them and having fun. DO NOT BE SCARED to play around with a prospect, they are people after all. This applies to direct sales, network marketing and any sort of sales arena.

One of the big mistakes I did when I started in direct sales was fuck up everything I did. I froze on doors, I couldn’t speak up, I couldn’t look at the customer in the face. Now I think about it, I lost over £2000 because of this. I was with a company that paid out £60 per sale…. I did this for 4 weeks. Yes frustration was high but I ploughed through it all and today I have a happier life.

Anyway a side note, Adil can’t write the newsletters this month due to being at work till 11pm. So on the last Sunday of November, when he is in Brisbane, Australia. He is going to write his first “The November Report” for you guys. Where he covers things in the sales and marketing division as well as, how to change beliefs.

And also Matt Morris’, Bonnie Bruderer, Bob Urichuck, etc there audio’s will be up at some point. Just need to host and get links.

See ya!

James

Hey Adil! Just read your November report. Excellent stuff! You learn something from everything and I particularly found the 10 steps helpful especially the last point ‘Monitor’. This is sooo true. We need to take stock of our efforts every day and give ourselves some GOOD feedback. Small steps may seem like forever but if we can take the time to Monitor then we will see that we are actually making progress. Brilliant well done. Not to keen on the rotting idea though! LOL x
